Welcome to the Irish Census Map
This website is designed to aid in researching Irish ancestry and historical population distributions, by providing an intuitive visualisation of the 1901 and 1911 Censuses of Ireland.
At present only the 1901 Census is available, but work is underway to deliver both censuses.
To Begin
To begin searching, enter your search criteria in the search box at the right of the page. Search by name, age (+/- 3 years) and religion. We intend to add more search options in the future.
NOTE: Only a portion of the 1901 Census is available to visualise at present. More and more data will be available to visualise as we continue geocoding data.
